Elżbieta Jabłońska (*1970, Poland) lives and works in Bydgoszcz, Poland. She received her MA degree in 1995 from the Fine Arts Department, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. In 2003 she received the Spojrzenia 2003 Award of the Deutsche Bank Cultural Foundation. Her work offers an ironic commentary on the status and role of women in a traditional society.
In Kuchnia (Kitchen), Elżbieta Jabłońska first marvels at her brand new kitchen and then destroys it, and essentially the domestic home, in a fit of rage.
