Alketa Xhafa Mripa was born in Pejë / Pec. She studied art in London. Her works explore the theme of the role of women in the male-dominated Albanian society.

"Dad and me' is the re-enactment of a telephone conversation that portrays the conflict between the artistic aspirations of young woman protagonist and her father's political views.
