Elżbieta Jabłońska (Poland *1970)
Elżbieta Jabłońska lives and works in Bydgoszcz. She received her MA degree in 1995 from the Fine Arts Department, Nicholas Copernicus University in Torun. In 2003 she received the Spojrzenia 2003 Award of the Cultural Foundation of the Deutsche Bank. Her work offers an ironic commentary on the status and role of women in a traditional society.
In "Kuchnia" (2007), Jabłońska first marvels at her brand new kitchen and then destroys it, and essentially the domestic home, in a fit of rage.
